Reflection on other student's Project Presentations
I fully enjoyed the other student's power point presentations! The variety of animals was indicative of the diverse views and interests of our class. A nice aspect to the assignment was the utilization of rubrics, the teachers' tool for fair and objective grading. Some students were short on pictures or didn't go into enough detail about life cycles. These were easy to notice through the use of our rubric coupled with a keen eye for detail. Another fun aspect to this assignment was the ability to add sound or effects to the power point presentation. I particularly enjoyed sound bites of the animals that my peers added to their presentations. It made my wish I had done the same. The effects added to the text also kept the audience engaged. this would be particularly helpful with 7th-9th graders, as their attention span are notoriously short.
